This afternoon we’ve been scribbling on white boards, scrap paper – whatever we could find – to investigate these pyramids. We were looking for patterns; trying to find out if there was a pattern to getting the biggest number on the top when you have five consecutive numbers on the base.
Special “Well Dones” to Ben and Tyler, who spotted the pattern first, Bella, who kept beating everyone by finding higher numbers with different combinations, Jaden for her excellent effort AND Aciah who, challenged herself by doing challenge 3.
Fantastic work! It was great to see some of you using reasoning vocabulary such as “I solved the problem by….”, ” The stagegy I used was….” and “I can prove it because….! ” Keep it up!
